Britney Spears and Sam Asghari recently made it official. The couple became one on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at their secluded Thousand Oaks home in Los Angeles. They first met back in 2016 when Asghari, an actor and fitness expert, applied to audition for Spears’ “Slumber Party” music video. Britney was so intrigued by him as a person and he played the role without needing an audition. She made their relationship Instagram official on New Year’s Day 2017, posting a photo of her and Sam at dinner. The couple got engaged in September of 2021 when Sam proposed with a classic 4-carat round brilliant cut diamond. He had “Lioness”—his special nickname for Britney—engraved inside the band. So sweet!
About Britney’s Wedding Day Looks
Spears went with a traditional bridal gown for her wedding ceremony. The bride wore a sleek, sophisticated Versace wedding dress with a portrait neckline, pearl buttons, and 10-foot train. Staying true to the singer’s sexy personal style, the gown also featured a front slit. The piece took 700 hours to make, all hand-crafted in the Versace Atelier.

Versace also supplied Spears with two different reception dresses: a black blazer-inspired mini and a red fringed frock, all ideal for dancing the night away with her closest friends and family.
The gown was also a symbol of Ms. Spears’s new era of independence, and a relatively restrained choice for a woman who has lived a lot of her pain, and her fame, in public. While it may be her third marriage, it’s the first since the end of the conservatorship that defined a large part of her adult life, signifying a fresh start for her and her now husband.
