Hidilyn Diaz is going for gold in her wedding too!
The Olympic champion just tapped renowned Filipino designer Francis Libiran to design her dress for the big day.
Libiran shared the news on Instagram, saying, “The World Champion deserves only the gold standard in fashion design on her special day!”
“[Francis Libiran] is beaming with pride to be chosen by 2020 Tokyo Olympics Gold Medalist [Hidilyn Diaz] and fiancé Julius Narajo as the official designer for their much-awaited wedding,” his post said.
Hidilyn got engaged to her strength and conditioning coach Julius Naranjo in October.
Their engagement came two months after Hidilyn delivered the Philippines’ first-ever Olympic gold medal after ruling the women’s 55-kg weightlifting event of the Summer Games in Tokyo, Japan. —JCB, GMA News
