Kate Middleton wore a stunning Alexander McQueen gown featuring beautiful lace for her wedding day.
A statement from Buckingham Palace read: “Miss Middleton chose British brand Alexander McQueen for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing.
“Miss Middleton wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterises Alexander McQueen’s work.”

On the big day, Kate was escorted into the Abbey by her father, Michael Middleton.
And as her maid-of-honour, Pippa Middleton was present to hold Kate’s train as she walked in.
Pippa wore a dress designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen which drew parallels to Kate’s own beautiful wedding gown.
Pippa’s dress was made of crepe fabric and featured a cowl neckline and a string of buttons down the back.
Kate didn’t opt for one of the more famous royal tiaras, such as Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara.
Instead, Kate wore a relatively unknown piece from the royal collection.
With its delicate scrollwork, the Cartier Halo Tiara has rarely been worn publicly by other members of the Royal Family, making it a unique choice for Kate’s big day.
Kate also opted to wear her famously luscious locks down for her big day, with many royal brides opting to have their hair up in the past.
