Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dobson Bowdon of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Claire Bowdon, to Jon Logan Blaine, son of Patricia Smith Blaine and the late Kenneth Allan Blaine of Brandon.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of William Harold Johnson, the late June Holmes Johnson, both of Madison, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Michael Bowdon of Southaven.
Miss Bowdon is a 2017 graduate of Madison Ridgeland Academy and a 2020 graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. In 2021 she earned a bachelor’s degree in the University of Mississippi Medical Center Accelerated Nursing Program. The bride-elect pledged Phi Mu at Mississippi State University. She graduated as a Stephen D. Lee scholar.
Currently she is a registered nurse in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Willard “Red” Smith, Annie Sue Blaine and the late Jimmy Dean Blaine, all of Jackson.
He is a 2016 graduate of Madison Ridgeland Academy and a 2020 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned a degree in business administration, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and the Mississippi State Bass Fishing Team.
Blaine currently works at his family business, Blaine’s Auto Accessories in Jackson.
The couple will exchange wedding vows April, 23 at The Reed House at Live Oaks in Jackson.
